The Lorton Liturgical Dancers represent a new liturgical dance group based at Pohick Church in Lorton, Virginia. We dance to praise God, in and out of the sanctuary and to provide visual and artistic inspiration to lead people towards God. We also aspire to create an increased compassion for humanity in the hearts of those who view or participate in our dances. The Lorton Liturgical Dancers are pleased to be in collaboration with the Bravo Dance ministry at St. Mark's in Springfield. One of our long term goals is to raise money to help the victims of natural disasters through the sale of tickets for a future dance concert. We are an affirming intergenerational dance ministry (children through seniors!) with mostly Christian members from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. We are united by the Holy Spirit, our interest in dance, our love for God, and a call to help serve others.
